Cynthia Vicario is a cultural historian. She studied both History and Chicano Latino Studies at California State University, Long Beach. Cynthia enjoys spending time with her family as well as giving back to the community.
Fueled by a desire to explore, expose, and address Geo Political issues in marginalized Latino communities, Cynthia has dedicated her life to education and community outreach. For over twenty-five years, Cynthia has served as an educator in the El Monte City School District. Cynthia proudly pulls from her immigrant family history as she works to enrich the lives of young Latinos. She volunteers with numerous organizations that help to develop the Latino community in Los Angeles and Orange County, California.
Cynthia views film and its connection to history as the linkage that can transcend between time and space, allowing silent voices the opportunity to be heard. On the Labragirl blog, she hopes to discuss cultural issues in history and in politics
